Salone Franchising Milano: the first exhibition in Italy to develop your business

There has been many news to this edition of Salone Franchising. The Fair turned 30 this year and  since 1985 is the most important event in Italy for those who look to the future to undertake activities with a particular focus on the most innovative solutions.
This year’s been a special edition and it took place concurrently with EXPO and HOST.
The Franchising Fair has been the ideal place to understand how the franchise in Italy  is changing, but not only this. There were many issues that revolved around the business of tomorrow: retail, e-commerce, technology, purchasing behaviors, account sales, development of new business, marketing. Each of these areas were deepened during the Salone in moments of confrontation.
Special attention was paid to sectors that more than others have recently seen a strong development. The Food and Beverage sectors have almost doubled their values in the past four years and about a third of the exhibitors at the show come from these areas.
This has been an opportunity for them to meet international buyers particularly interested in products made in Italy and it gave the stimulus to launch new formats on the market.
The Fashion and accessories sectors was strongly represented. About a quarter of the franchisors are operating in this sector and, as for the food, the sales network of Italian fashion will have the opportunity to present itself on the national and international market to drive growth.
The 30th edition of the fair offered to Italian companies, especially for small and medium franchisor, the chance to catch new business opportunities in interesting foreign markets, such as United Arab Emirates, the Middle East and the United States, thanks to the presence of delegations of investors and professionals from those areas. During the SFM, also were present Chinese delegations concerned to make known Italian brands in their markets.
The issues related to international markets are complex, both culturally and economically, from the high import tariffs to the strategies for local partnerships.
This and many other issues were discussed during the Fair and it has been an opportunity to meet professionals who can provide answers to the questions about your business idea.
